Look what I found in my files!   Loving how cute these tees are!  These aren't from recent collections though...  I have this habit of snapping photos of things I saw and liked, saving them in my file... and then forgetting about them!   =^.^=

Portrait... Jon Kortajarena in graphite

My blog's a year old now!  Yay!  A year ago I started blogging my sketches and my first blogpost was some WIP graphite sketches of Jon Kortajarena (here).  I never really did post a finished portrait of his, thought I'd mark my year of blogging with one.  So, here it is... 

Not perfect, still have lots to learn... Don't think the learning part will ever end!  Need more work on getting the likeness.  I also really need to work on my patience... I just don't have enough of it to do the hair detail!   Really enjoy doing his portrait... still loving the angles of his face!  He is soooo dreamy!

Started this blog as sort of an art journal... a way to make myself get back into art/drawing.  Well, it's been a year of blogging and drawing. Yay!  I'm not quite drawing as much as I used to, but this is a positive improvement.  Looking forward to another year of art, much more drawing, creative pursuits and art journaling/blogging!   Hope you, my readers, will join me...  Never, ever stop drawing!  =)

Meow there!  It has been getting warmer, getting hotter, getting sunnier and getting sweatier these days...Summer's almost here!!!  Yay!  I love how it make life's hectic and chaotic pace become laidback... more enjoyable.  =)

This artist does such beautiful portraits!!!   Really amazing and beautiful portraits!  I love watching live drawing videos on youtube...  almost always I get to learn something to improve my own art.  Live drawing videos are just simply inspiring!

Another lovely collection by Monique Lhuillier for her Fall/Winter 2013 Ready-to-Wear.  Beautiful, beautiful fabrics!  I'm loving her gowns in the collection!

Halfway through rendering, I thought about abandoning this - I didn't know what the heck I was doing!  LOL... Left it alone for more than a week, but decided to tackle it again last week.  A challenge to render, didn't turn out as nice as I'd like it to be but still satisfying to have finished it.  One less abandoned sketch in the sketchpad!
