Fashion / Beauty illustration - wavy hairstyle and flowers
Meow there, Monday! Happy Holidays! Christmas was yesterday, but not quite over. Hope everyone had a great time spending Christmas with family/friends. And now, it's almost time for the New Year! Time always seems to go by faster whenever it's near the end of the year. It felt like we just celebrated the start 2016 not too long ago. =^.^=

Meow there, Monday! Merry Christmas! It may be a week away but Christmas had already begun here in the Philippines when the ~ber months started in September! We really love the festive holiday that much! =^.^=
Sharing a couple of very classic Jose Marie Chan Christmas songs... These songs are not be new or the current holiday hits, but they are well-loved Filipino Christmas favorites!
Fashion illustration / sketch... holiday party OOTD
Meow there, Monday! And it's almost Christmas... in about two weeks! Been drawing a lot of flowery doodles this year. I actually kind of miss doing these fashion illustrations. My fave part is drawing in the face. Painting in the red lips is like putting the cherry and sprinkles on top of a yummy dessert! πΊ
Meow there, Monday! ...and it's December, last month of 2016! I have been drawing a lot of the floral doodles this year, thought I'd do a fashion illustration/sketch for today's blogpost. A cozy outfit for those chilly autumn/fall days. Paired the structured coat with a pastel top with a touch of frilly trim to keep the look feminine and elegant. Choose navy blue coz it's my fave color!!! πΈπΈπΈ
Meow there, Monday! A friend of mine held a two-day event at the local museum recently, as part of his Cebu Literary Festival (facebook). The Museo Sugbo (facebook) was opened not too long ago. It used to be the city jail! The museum exhibits historical artifacts and tells the history/culture of Cebu. There were several activities during the event... like storytelling (for kids), coloring corner, reading corner, workshops (for watercolor, spoken word and clay by Cebuano artists), video/film showings, etc... I made a couple of coloring pages for the kids to color on. Didn't make them complicated as I thought the kids might find it too boring and tedious. I drew my version of the water fountain in the open courtyard by the entrance. Added some cats too... coz I heart kittehs! The museum has some cats roaming around there but I saw only one,,, a friendly grey tabby cat! πΊ Yay for finally being able to add kitty emojis on blogposts!!!! Really happy with that!!! πΈπΈπΈπΊπΊπΊπ»π»π»

Meow there, Monday! Made a variation on one of my earlier floral doodles, the Clematis from last year, clickie-click (here) to see that doodle. I think I'll do another one. The Clematis is such a pretty flower! I find myself pinning it a lot on Pinterest. =^.^=
Meow there, Monday! It's been rather chilly and wet the past week. Wanted to do a cute sweater outfit.... cat, hearts and pink! It doesn't really get cold here in most of the Philippines. Although it does get a bit chilly at night time during the ~ber months, especially at the early hours of dawn. =^.^=
Meow there, Monday! Would be fun to do these flowery doodlies with color... but for the moment, I'm still having a lot of fun with just black ink. Maybe later on I would do some with color. =^.^=
"Criss-Crossing"
Art Nouveau inspired floral doodle
Meow there, Monday! New week and back with another inky, flowery doodle. Not quite loopy and more crissie-crossie. Playing a bit with the composition/layout... inspired by Art Nouveau (my fave art style!!!). I think this one works better with loopy florals though. =^.^=
Gong Yoo (Gong Ji-chul) portrait using Faber-Castell Pitt Artist Pens
Meow there, Monday! It's Inktober October! Trying out these new brush markers from Faber-Castell. Bought them a few weeks ago and haven't found the opportunity to play with them. Inktober seems like a good time to take them out to play! I've never done portraits with markers before. I definitely need to spend some more time playing and practicing with them. =^.^=
Wanted to do a portrait of the South Korean actor, Gong Yoo (Gong Ji-chul). He was really amazing in Train to Busan!!! I liked the movie too! It's definitely NOT another zombie movie. So much more to the story beyond the zombies. Wish they toned down the zombie parts! I also really liked Gong Yoo in his previous KDtama Coffee Prince. He was adorable in that one!
The Suspect is my favorite movie of his! His acting is flawless and full of emotion, even when he was in scenes where he had to put on a poker face. Story/plot is very well written. And it's full of action... very well done car chase and fight scenes!!!
Meow there, Monday! Some crisscrossings for today's flowery doodle/drawing. A variation on my "Sun's Caress", clickie-click (here)... Not quite done with the loops and swirls of my previously posted doodle! I love making my doodles/drawings all loopy, curly and swirly! =^.^=
Masato Ochiai (World Order)
Done in Staedtler Mars Lumograph 8B with Derwent Watercolor Pencils
Meow there, Monday! Finished a new portrait! Been some months since the last one. This one's of Masato Ochiai of the Japanese music/dance group, World Order. Just discovered them very recently when a friend posted their Tissot ad video on facebook. When I saw the video, I was amazed and wow-ed! I love discovering new music! I think World Order is now my fave music group of the moment! =^.^=
Started with a pencil sketch, lightly shaded. I've gotten bored with doing just plain graphite portraits, so I lightly colored it with a few shades of blue watercolor pencils (Derwent) and went over them with a wet brush. Then I started working on shading details with Staedtler Mars Lumograph 8B. I only used 8B and used my fingers to smudge in the strokes. When I gave the blue watercolor pencil strokes a wet wash, it kind of looked a bit like Avatar (LOL!!!), so I gave it a touch of violet. I also like to give the graphite strokes a wet wash to "settle down" the graphite and give it "depth".
Now, for some World Order music to accompany my portrait of Masato Ochiai.., I love their music and their music videos!
This was my first taste of World Order music and dance!
Meow there, Monday! I had so much fun doing my very loopy and swirly "La-La-Loopy-Loops" flower doodle, clickie click (here), I made another version of it! The stamens made the flowers look a touch more feminine and frilly. Kinda like Sakura blossoms. Made this one a bit cosier and a little leafy. Really enjoyed drawing all the loops and swirls. Might just make another version again. =^.^=
Meow there, Monday! Fun, fun, fun with this loopy-loopsy-loop floral doodle! And because it wasn't loopy enough, I made it swirly and curly as well! =^.^=
Having some tea with my kitteh mug.
Every time I take a sip, it looks like I'm sniffing the kitteh's butt! LOL!!!
